While watching gymnastics and hearing about the controversy over the age of Chinese gymnasts, I was perplexed as to how youth could provide a gymnast with an advantage possibly worth cheating for. I found this article from early August that attempts to explain the trend in gymnastic competitions that youth = better.

It would be quite daring to cross that bridge! I mean not literally the bridge in the above photo. There is nothing scary about the bridge above. I mean to cross and walk over old ideas and trends.
